Liebster Blog Award

Already Forgotten: Ihania pistoja (Mirabilia, LHN, Lizzie Kate...).
maiden.mother.crone: Ihania pistoja (suurimmaksi osaksi Mirabiliaa).

"2. Kiitä henkilöä, jolta tunnustuksen sait, linkittämällä hänen blogiinsa."

"3. Julkaise tunnustus blogissasi.

● Minulla on korkeanpaikankammo.
Tällä hetkellä on mennossa The Devil Wears Prada.

♥ ♥ ♥

I got this blog award from both Ewa and Julie, thank you both for thinking of me!

"Liebster is a German word, meaning favorite, dearest or beloved, and the Liebster is awarded by bloggers to other, newer bloggers who have fewer than 200 followers, to spread the word and help the new(er)bies gain wider recognition. The award comes with four conditions that each recipient must satisfy when accepting:

1. Choose five up-and-coming blogs (with fewer than 200 followers) to award the Liebster to."

Some of the blogs on the list below may already have been given this award by someone. However, since this award's purpose is to promote the visibility of people's favourite blogs (or at least those with less than 200 followers), I am not excluding them from my list. If you have already got this award and posted about it in your blog, feel free to ignore your name on my list - I just want to introduce your blog to my readers, for some of them may not be followers of the blog(s) where you previously got this award and thus have never heard of your blog before now.

Threads with Cathair: Beautiful stitches (Châtelaine, Blackbird Designs) and adorable cats.
stitchstitchknit: Beautiful stitches (HAED) and a wonderful writer who always remembers to leave encouraging comments for other people.
On My Needles: Beautiful stitches (HAED, Châtelaine), and here's another wonderfully thoughtful writer who always remembers to leave encouraging comments in other people's blogs.
Already Forgotten: Beautiful stitches (Mirabilia, LHN, Lizzie Kate...).
maiden.mother.crone: Beautiful stitches (mostly Mirabilia).

"2. Show your thanks to the blogger who gave you the award by linking back to them.

3. Post the award on your blog. List the bloggers you are giving the award to with links to their sites. Leave comments on their blogs so they know about the award.

4. Share five random facts about yourself that people don't know about you."

● I have a fear of heights.
● Before I fell in love with stitching, I used to spend time assembling jigsaw puzzles. The kind with 2000 or more pieces. However, after I discovered the joy of cross stitching, I haven't felt any interest towards jigsaw puzzles anymore.
● Also, before I picked up stitching I used to read a lot. Nowadays I don't really have time to read anymore since I can't stitch and read at the same time. I'm very grateful for the existence of audiobooks and audible.co.uk! At the moment I'm in the middle of The Devil Wears Prada.
● I studied a bit of French at high school, and have now started re-activating my French language skills by subscribing to the French version of the Création Point de Croix cross stitching magazine.
● I abhor loud noises and noisy places, and am most comfortable someplace calm and quiet (preferably accompanied by my stitching).

And that's all for today! The snowflake border around Evening in the Park's centre is taking a little longer to finish than I anticipated, mainly due to some unforeseen social activity during this week. I have managed to complete a lot of stitches since my last update on it, but it still needs a few hours of work before it's done. So I'll be back next week with a picture to show you how beautiful and delicate it is. See you then!

Ooooooh I hate loud places, too. I just kind of tense up and can't have any fun. What's the point of going somewhere where you can't even have a decent conversation with people?

Can't wait to see Evening in the Park! Super excited!

Thank you so much for the award =)
I also love audiobooks because I can't read while stitching =)
I always get them via audible.de ;-)
I am currently listening to a historical novel by a German writer =)

Congrats on the award I nominated you as well! Glad to see someone beat me to it :-). I know what you mean about not being able to stitch and read at the same time, so I listen to audiobooks sometimes too!

Oh, I love EITP, Heli. It's on my wishlist of Chats. I need Holland and Serengeti too. Ah, if only there were more hours in the day. And I had more money, lol. Glad you shared your five facts. I'm the opposite of you. I love the high places. I want to learn to skydive someday!!

Thank you Heli for the award! And I see we've got 2 things in common: I used to make jigsaw puzzles and read a lot before discovering the magic of cross stitching too!
