Samalla selailulla ihastuin The Goldfish Bowl -nimiseen projektiin.
Tällainen tulee valmiista työstä (kaikki eivät kuitenkaan jaksa klikata linkkiä ylläolevassa tekstissä) / This is what the finished project will look like:
Ja tämän verran sain aikaan perjantai-maanantai välisenä aikana / And this is what I got done during the Friday-Monday SAL:
Ensimmäinen rivi sivuja on melko tylsä, mutta seuraavalla rivillä tulee jo vastaan ihania yksityiskohtia. Aion tehdä tätä aina GK SAL -aikoina, eli yhteensä kahdeksana päivänä kuukaudessa. Kun vielä kaksi päivää kuukaudessa menee IHSW-työhön (tällä hetkellä Evening in the Park), minulla jää noin 20 päivää kuukaudessa HAEDeille. Tämä ainakin näin teoriassa kuulostaa hyvältä, katsotaan miten toimii käytännössä. Palaan muutaman päivän päästä tänne kertomaan, mitä Fairy Wishing Wellille kuuluu. Nähdään siis silloin taas!
Every now and then I've run into the name Golden Kite while reading stitchy forums and facebook groups. A little while ago, I decided to find out what it was and Google led me to the Golden Kite Store. I browsed a bit and came to the conclusion that Golden Kite is kind of like Heaven and Earth Designs, a company that makes and sells unbelievably gorgeous and time-consuming cross stitch charts.
While browsing, I fell in love with The Goldfish Bowl and promised myself that I could start it once I'd finished the baby sampler I was working on. In the meantime, I registered on the Golden Kite forums, where they hold a GK (Golden Kite) SAL (stitch-along) every other weekend, and the rest of the weekends are for a non-GK SAL. The SALs run from Friday to Monday. The past weekend was GK SAL, and I too got to join and start my Goldfish Bowl as I had completed my baby sampler. In the pictures above, you can see what the finished project will look like and where I got to during my first GK SAL. I'm stitching this on 20-count aida, 2 over 1. The first row of pages is a bit dull, but once I get to the second row, all sorts of beautiful details will start to appear.
I'm planning to work on this project during all the GK SALs, altogether eight days every month. As an additional two days each month are spent stitching my IHSW project (currently Evening in the Park), I will have about twenty days each month to work on my HAEDs. Sounds good in theory, how it goes in reality remains to be seen. I'll be back in a few days to let you know how Fairy Wishing Well is coming along, see you then!

That looks beautiful, i hope that you can keep up with all of your projects.
Hugs Yvon.
It's a beautiful design and you allready got quite a few stitches done. The starting of these huge projects is always a bit dull , but when details start showing, they will be a joy.
Oooooh! Golden Kites are so tempting - it's difficult to resist! Can't wait to see how you get along and your progress on your HAEDs!
Tosi kaunis malli. En ole tuohon yritykseen aiemmin törmännytkään. Täytyypä käydä vilkaisemassa.
Wow, you've gotten a lot done over the weekend. Grats on all the progress. I almost bought FWW at the latest HAED sale, but changed my mind at the last minute. I'll get it someday!!
Oooh! Love this new start Heli! Thanks for the link to the store. I will have to check it out! Can't wait to see your Evening in the Park progress!
Nice choice for your new start. I have stitched HAED but never Golden Kite before, you'll have to let us know how they compare as you stitch.
This is a gorgeous design!
I love the designs from Golden Kite, but they are so huge and expensive, I doubt that I will work one of them in the near future =(
So I will enjoy looking at other people's GKs ;-)
You made a wonderful start on your Goldfish Bowl =)
I am curious how your rotation plans will work out ;-)
Uusi isotöinen työ, asiaa! :) Hienolta näyttää ja paljon olet ehtinyt jo tehdä.
